Taste of the Wild Recap
April 13th, 2019 Frazee High school

The 6th annual Taste of the Wild was on April 19th and it was an awesome event. As always, this event was a completely free event that was also family friendly. This year the Taste of the Wild had over 450 people come through the doors. We have outgrew the Frazee Event Center in 2018, so we are moved it to the Frazee High School to make more room. From the beginning, the purpose of this event has been to give back to the community by providing a family friendly event that is completely free. We know that during the spring season there are a lot of fundraisers and so we wanted to be able to offer something free. Getting in the door and prize tickets are completely free. The only thing to bring your wallets for was the vendors selling their awesome merchandise and food.

Grand Prize: A-14 Lund fishing boat, trailer with spare tire and a 42lb Thrusting power trolling motor

Because of many businesses and people supporting this event with cash donations, we were able to give away a 14 foot fishing boat, trailer with a spare tire, and a 42Ib Thrusting power trolling motor as a grand prize. Every person that was 18 or older received one ticket to be entered into win this boat and trailer valued at over $3,000!! And the event and tickets for all the prizes was completely free. Winner paid all taxes and fees associated with boat when they picked it up from Ray's Sport & Marine in Perham, MN
Doors opened at 1:00 PM
Speakers, vendor booths, prize drawings, kids games and more going all day long.
During this time, we had games for the kids like minnow races, antler ring tosses and more. We also had a lot of door prizes being given away throughout the whole day. Everyone that came received 5 tickets to enter in for all the different prizes and everyone 18 or older received 1 ticket for the grand prize boat, trailer, and trolling motor package.

We also had a line up of speakers presenting throughout the day talking about a large variety of topics like managing your properties to increase whitetail deer population, walleye fishing and more.
